Youth Ministry Mission Statement
The mission of the Youth Ministry Department of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton is to continually coordinate, facilitate, develop and evaluate programs that will create a spiritual center for the youth of our parish.
Through prayer, worship, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and the development of a devotional life, teens are introduced to the full spectrum of Catholic life. Activities with the Youth Ministry Department encourage a sense of “oneness” among the group members and provide an opportunity for socializing, as well as developing the foundation for further catechesis.
Activities in which the teens participate include meetings, service projects, the coordination and presentation of the Passion Drama on Good Friday, the coordination and presentation of the Christmas Pageant, bible studies, attendance at retreats, diocesan events and various social activities including parish dinners and events. The Youth Groups run Vacation Bible School each summer for the young children in our parish. The High School Youth Group attends the Steubenville West Youth Conference in Tucson, Arizona each summer.
It is our sincere hope that through prayer, participation and patience the Youth Ministry program at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton will reach out to all the young people of our parish in a Christ-centered way that offers something for everyone. Today’s youth are the foundation of a new generation of our church and, building upon the rock of Peter, will form a cornerstone that cannot be destroyed, provided we are willing to make the personal and spiritual investment to enable them to take their place in the Kingdom of God. Our programs will continue to provide just that vision and opportunity.
